Greetings Travelers!

Welcome back to The Stellar Edit, your weekly passport to extraordinary places, thoughtful stays, and escapes worth bookmarking.

This week, we’re drifting from Saint Lucia to Anguilla, where the Caribbean feels especially vivid. The water is impossibly blue, the mornings move slowly, and the whole island seems designed for travelers who know the beauty of staying awhile.

At the center of it all is Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club, a resort that feels less like a single stay and more like an entire island world. Set across 300 acres between Rendezvous Bay and Merrywing Bay, Aurora offers the rare mix of grandeur and ease: sweeping beaches, garden-led dining, restorative wellness, championship golf, and quiet corners that still feel deeply personal.

Some resorts are built around one signature moment. Aurora gives you many.

A morning walk along the sand. A long lunch shaped by ingredients from the resort’s hydroponic gardens. A spa pause that resets the entire day. A round of golf with St. Martin shimmering in the distance. A sunset that makes plans feel optional.

This is Anguilla for travelers who want room to roam, space to exhale, and a stay that feels elevated without ever feeling overdone.

Pour your favorite beverage, get comfortable, and join us as we explore Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club.

Until next week, travel beautifully,

Beachside Dining at C Level

The Table

Dining is one Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club’s strongest arguments for a longer stay. The resort lists six dining opportunities and two cafes, ranging from casual to upscale, with menus influenced by local flavors and the property’s 10,000-square-foot hydroponic garden that supplies produce, herbs, and fruit.

Chef's Table: The heart of the resort, where wood-fired comfort, fresh pastries, and garden-driven cuisine create meals that linger long after dessert.

C Level: Sink your toes into the sand while savoring fresh seafood, tropical cocktails, and breezy Caribbean flavors just steps from the sea.

D Richard's: Anguilla's only steakhouse pairs beautifully aged steaks, rare wines, and polished service with unforgettable views overlooking the championship golf course.

Tokyo Bay: Imaginative Japanese cuisine meets theatrical teppanyaki, pristine sushi, and farm-fresh ingredients in one of Anguilla's most memorable dining experiences.

Breezes: Beachfront seafood, handcrafted pizzas, island cocktails, and live music create carefree afternoons that effortlessly stretch into unforgettable Caribbean evenings.

Sole di Mare: Handmade pastas, Mediterranean classics, and panoramic sea views transport you from Anguilla to the sun-soaked coasts of southern Europe.

The Resort’s Own Hydroponic Farm

Rendezvous Café: Fresh espresso, artisan pastries, homemade ice cream, and elegant café moments make this the resort's sweetest everyday ritual.

Merrywing Café: A family-friendly favorite serving waffles, pastries, coffee, homemade ice cream, and casual bites perfect between beach adventures and pool days.

That garden-to-table detail matters here. It gives the dining program a sense of place without making every meal feel overly earnest. The point is not to chase formality; it is to let the setting and ingredients do the work.

Ocean View Deluxe King at the Tower

The Room Key

The accommodations are less about one hero room and more about choosing the right pocket of the resort.

The Tower
The Tower is Aurora’s most convenient, contemporary stay: spacious rooms with floor-to-ceiling views, easy access to the beach, water park, and golf, and a more vertical resort perspective. It is the right fit for travelers who want polish, proximity, and the ease of being close to the resort’s energy without giving up a sense of calm.

Merrywing Beach
Merrywing Beach feels sunlit, open, and quietly active, with accommodations that lean into ocean views, golf-course proximity, and Aurora’s sailing-inspired design language. It suits guests who want a refined beach base with a little movement around them: swims, sunsets, golf, and an easy rhythm between room and resort.

Rendezvous Beach
Rendezvous Beach is the more classic Anguilla moment: broad sand, turquoise water, and accommodations that feel relaxed, refined, and close to the island’s postcard calm. This is where to stay for beach-forward ease, slow mornings, and that satisfying sense of being fully settled into the shoreline.

Estates & Villas
Estates & Villas are Aurora at its most private and residential, made for families, groups, or longer stays that call for space, discretion, and a self-contained rhythm. Expect generous indoor-outdoor living, private pools, high-touch comfort, and the feeling of having your own Anguilla address within the larger resort world.

3 Bedroom Villa w/ Pool at Rendezvous Beach

The Splurge

The splurge is the villa or estate-style stay. Aurora’s scale makes the extra space meaningful. A villa or estate gives the trip a more private cadence: mornings by your own pool, room for a larger group to spread out, and the ability to enjoy the full resort without feeling like you are always in resort mode.

3 Bedroom Villa at Rendezvous Beach
Rendezvous Beach at its most private: three bedrooms, generous indoor-outdoor living, a private pool, and direct beachfront ease for families who want space without losing polish.

For families or groups, the larger category is where Aurora starts to feel less like a hotel stay and more like an Anguilla residence with resort privileges.

The Pool(s)

Aurora’s pool scene is unusually versatile: serene when you want it, playful when the day calls for more energy. The resort’s Entertainment Park brings the family-facing drama, with a zero-entry lagoon pool, lazy river, waterslides, and a dedicated splash pad for younger guests.

Elsewhere, the resort pools offer a calmer rhythm, with loungers, umbrellas, shade, and space to settle in after the beach or golf course.

For guests in the Estates and Villas, private pools add another layer of ease: quiet mornings, unhurried swims, and the luxury of having the water entirely to yourself.

The Spa

Sorana Spa
The spa is a ritual to build the stay around. Including steam, sauna, spa treatments, beauty services, a fitness studio, and hydrotherapy experiences.

Its treatment menu includes facials, massage, body treatments, and rituals, with amenities such as co-ed relaxation, steam, sauna, hydrotherapy, and product lines including Subtle Energies, Biologique Recherche, and OSEA.

The details: Twelve treatment rooms, including two couples suites and a custom sand quartz table, with facilities oriented toward Rendezvous Beach. This is the kind of spa that gives structure to a day without asking too much of it. Treatment, lunch, beach, repeat.

The International Course at Aurora Anguilla

Tee Time

The International Course
Aurora Anguilla brings a rare kind of golf to the Caribbean: polished, panoramic, and quietly demanding. The Greg Norman Golf Course Design International Course, recently named Caribbean’s Golf Resort of the Year by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, pairs championship-level play with sweeping views of St. Martin and the Caribbean Sea. It is not just a round; it is one of Aurora’s most considered rituals.

Avalon Links Short Course
Aurora’s more relaxed golf ritual: beautifully kept, quietly scenic, and designed to fit into the day without taking it over. The Greg Norman-designed 9-hole short course, named the Caribbean’s Best 9 Hole Golf Course for 2024 by the World Golf Awards, delivers ocean views, thoughtful shot variety, and just enough challenge to keep the round interesting. It is polished, playable, and ideal for families, newer golfers, or anyone who wants the pleasure of a round in under an hour.

Adventures

Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club is unusually activity-rich for Anguilla, which is part of its distinction. The property makes it easy to keep the stay slow, but there are a few experiences worth building the day around.

Sail to Little Bay and Prickly Pear
The most elegant day out is the resort’s sailing adventure. Aurora’s half-day itinerary includes a beach check-in, a sail to Little Bay for snorkeling, a stop at Prickly Pear for a sandbar swim, onboard lunch and rum punch, then a coastal cruise back along Rendezvous Bay. It is the kind of excursion that gives the trip a sense of movement without disturbing the island rhythm.

Dive Anguilla’s Reef and Wreck Sites
For travelers who want the island from below the surface, Aurora’s diving program highlights more than twenty reef sites and seven intentionally sunken steel-hull freighters, with dive experiences ranging from 20 to 100 feet deep. This is the water day for people who want something more immersive than a swim, but still easy enough to fold into a polished resort itinerary.

Snorkel Little Bay, Prickly Pear, Sandy Island, or Scrub Island
Aurora’s snorkeling excursions can be arranged as half-day or full-day charters, with gear, GoPros, lunch, and rum punch included. The route may include Little Bay, Prickly Pear, Sandy Island, Scrub Island, and other clear-water stops around Anguilla.

The move: choose one signature activity, then protect the rest of the day. Aurora gives you a lot to do. The luxury is not needing to do all of it.

Elana’s Take

Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club feels like the right property for the traveler who wants the beauty of Anguilla, but with a little more dimension built into the stay. What I like most is that it does not ask you to choose between ease and energy.

You can have the quiet beach morning, the long spa afternoon, the polished dinner, the serious golf moment, and the boat day without the resort ever feeling like it is trying too hard to entertain you.

For me, the appeal is the range. Aurora gives everyone room to find their version of the trip, which is exactly what makes it work for couples, families, and groups traveling together.

It still has the softness you want from Anguilla, but with enough structure to make a longer stay feel full. Come for the calm. Stay because Aurora gives that calm more range.
